Join us as we learn about two organizations which help teenagers become productive citizens.

Fresh Lifelines For Youth helps teens in trouble make healthy decisions, reducing juvenile crime and incarceration through legal education, mentoring, and leadership training. Putting an a first-time juvenile offender through one year of FLY costs $5,000 instead of $21,000 to incarcerate the same youth for a year, and 89% of participants do not reenter the juvenile justice system during the one year program.

Acting Executive Director Aila Nalik will explain how the program was developed and how it helps at-risk youths get their lives on track. (presentation)

BUILD's mission is to provide underserved students with educational and entrepreneurial opportunities. Participants found companies, secure funding for them, operate them, and reap the rewards of their hard work while concentrating on going to college. 100% of BUILD graduates have completed high school and enrolled in college.

Barbara Bellissimo, BUILD's Director of Development, will teach us how the program works and how it improves the lives of the participants and their community. (presentation)
